Øystein and Marthe | Barcelona Wedding in Sitges
- The wedding of Marthe and Øystein was to be a truly memorable day. This was a destination wedding just outside of Barcelona, close to the lovely Mediterranean coastal town of Sitges. I was excited about my journey ahead! A bus, a plane, a train and a taxi later, I arrived at the venue of Can Xicarro, a Moorish villa full of luxurious charm. There I met the bride and groom, a young Norwegian couple very much in love. These sweethearts were having their dream wedding!
- I was excited to be here, and there was so much to photograph. The venue was stunning and the wedding planners were just putting on all the finishing touches, and Marthe was getting ready upstairs and looked absolutely stunning. Øystein met his bride on the balcony before the wedding, because the couple had decided to arrive at their ceremony together. The ceremony seating was unique, cleverly arranged in a spiral around the aisle. It was beautiful to watch, as the couple said their vows in a circle of family and friends.
- The guests then relaxed around the pool before dinner, as I took the couple for some portrait time in the colourful gardens. As the evening drew in, it was time for the wedding banquet, a chilled out Spanish-style buffet. With dancing around the pool next on the program, the party was soon in full swing!
