Darren and Clare | Hacienda Acedía
- An October wedding and not a cloud in the sky! As I arrived at The Hacienda Acedía and was introduced to Clare, I was immediately put at ease. For a bride on her wedding day, she was extremely laid back. Surrounded by her nearest and dearest, she was just putting finishing touches to the flowers and soaking up the atmosphere of her wedding day ahead. The Hacienda Acedía is a gorgeous venue and the wedding was to be held outside in the colourful gardens in an incredible setting.
- Once Clare finished her preparation, it was all systems go! Everyone knows it is the bride’s prerogative to be a little late for her wedding ceremony and when Clare arrived, everyone was simply blown away! Her colourful character was beautifully expressed with her vintage wedding dress, in celebration of her African culture. She really looked incredible and with Darren’s fantastic suit to match, the couple were all smiles, and the ceremony was light hearted and full of laughter.
- Afterwards, the guests sipped their cool drinks in the sun and enjoyed mouth-watering canapés on the lawn, then it was time for some family portraits.
- Clare and Darren insisted on their family photos being anything but formal and the guests enjoyed some fun poses on the steps before being seated for a wedding banquet to be remembered. Fiesta Sol never fails to impress with their passion for food, and the wedding party tucked heartily into the delicious Spanish cuisine.
- The sun was setting and the timing was perfect for a portrait session with the newlyweds. Clare and Darren enjoyed posing for the camera, and we caught the last moments of the sun, the light was incredible. There was just time for the wedding cake before it was dark – another colourful display of quirky fun, it was a piece of art admired by everyone. Then it was night and time for speeches, a candle lit affair with tears and laughter all round. Finally the sound system was cranked up and the guests wasted no time getting the party into full swing!
- Clare and Darren’s wedding was a beautiful and colourful celebration and I am really grateful to have been part of their wedding day and to have captured these everlasting memories.
